AI engineering, based in Comox Valley.
Entoura.Studio is the Comox-based team engineering the AI for hospitality operators, trades, food and beverage businesses, clinics, and offices whose work still depends on paper and repeat admin. Built here, a first working release in 4–8 weeks, hosted in Canada, owned by you.

Local operating context
AI for the work that already exists.
In Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland, the useful AI opportunities are rarely a chatbot added to a website. They are inside the operation: preparing a file before an appointment, finding the clause or record a staff member needs, carrying field information into the office, and catching an incomplete handoff before it becomes tomorrow’s problem.
Being based here makes the first step practical: sitting with the people doing the work, observing the handoff, and testing the assumptions before software is specified. Local access does not lower the engineering standard: evaluation, fallbacks, permissions and data residency are defined before launch.
Where it fits
Three useful places to start looking.
AI earns its place when it removes a measurable bottleneck and leaves a clear review path for the people responsible.
Files prepared before the appointment
Read incoming forms and documents, identify missing information and assemble a review queue before the client or patient arrives.
Business knowledge with citations
Give staff one search surface across approved policies, procedures and records, with every answer linked back to the material it came from.
Field work connected to the office
Capture notes, photographs and job details on site, apply the company’s rules, and move a structured record into the systems already in use.

Find. Engineer. Validate. Improve.
Entoura is an AI Engineering Firm, the firm you hire when you want your business to operate better. Software, automation, data, and AI are the tools we use to engineer that outcome.
Find where time and money leave the building
It looks at how your operation actually runs and locates where time and money leave the building. The output is a ranked list of what it costs you, not a pitch.
Size each opportunity and name what matters first
Each opportunity is sized, and the single one worth changing first is named. This is the Assessment, and it is free.
Build the intelligence that changes how the work gets done
The intelligence that changes how the work gets done is engineered around your operation. It runs inside the systems your team and customers already use, not in a tool beside them.
Stay on and keep the system doing its job
Models change, systems change, your business changes. Staying on keeps the system doing its job as all three move.
The first engagement
Start with a Blueprint™.
The Blueprint maps one workflow, inspects the systems it touches, and produces a development-ready specification with a fixed build quote. You keep the deliverables either way.

Comox Valley questions
Straight answers before the first call.
Where is Entoura.Studio based?
The studio is based in Comox, British Columbia, and serves Comox, Courtenay, Cumberland, the rest of Vancouver Island and clients beyond the Island.
Can you visit our Comox Valley operation?
Yes. For workflows tied to a clinic, counter, shop or field operation, an on-site working session is often the clearest way to understand the handoffs before anything is designed.
Do you provide AI consulting without a build?
The Blueprint is the scoping engagement. It identifies whether AI belongs in the workflow and specifies what should be built. Every engagement stays tied to implementation rather than open-ended strategy decks.
Can a system use our private documents without training a public model on them?
Yes. Retrieval can use approved business documents at request time without using them to train a public model. The exact provider, retention settings and data path are documented during the Blueprint.
What happens if AI is not the right tool?
The Blueprint says so and specifies the simpler system instead. A rules-based workflow or conventional application is sometimes the more reliable and less expensive answer.
Can we just give everyone a ChatGPT or Claude subscription?
For individual drafting, summarizing, and learning, yes, and you should. A subscription is a general-purpose tool a person opens and prompts. It has no standing connection to your systems, no memory of how your business runs, and it only acts when someone drives it. That is a productivity tool for a person, not an AI system for a business. When you need AI embedded in a workflow, governed, and reliable enough to depend on, you have outgrown the subscription.
When does API-based AI make more sense than consumer apps?
When the work needs to run inside your software, not at a keyboard. APIs let you embed models in the tools you already use, choose the model per task (Claude, GPT-class, Gemini, or open-source), set data-retention terms in writing, and pay per token at volume instead of stacking $20–100/month seats across a team. That is the path from "everyone has a login" to a system the business runs on. The Blueprint defines whether you are there yet.
